Indexed data is great — you get extremely fast responses, but only for questions you have previously indexed for. For everything else, there’s BigQuery: It scales over thousands of nodes (which are abstracted, you don’t need to worry about their cost or managing them), and you can ask any query — no indexes needed in this world. The answers will be slower than a well tuned indexed system (seconds instead of micro-seconds), but faster than any other system that’s not built to scale onto thousands of nodes.
